| On behalf of Girlguiding Midlands it is my pleasure to welcome you all to our website! It is my privilege and honour to lead members in eleven counties across the Midlands. Thanks to 8,981 leaders and adult supporters, who give their time freely, we are able to offer an exciting and relevant programme to 68,774 girls and young women from five to twenty five. During their time with Girlguiding Midlands our members will have many opportunities to grow and develop, ready to take their place as confident, caring and active members of a wider community. This could not happen without the tremendous support of their leaders and I would like to give my personal thanks to all our adult supporters for the way in which they selflessly shape the lives of the young women of the future. Girlguiding Midlands belongs to a movement which is continually changing and updating to cater for the modern needs of its members and today's lifestyle, whilst preserving the values that have made Girlguiding the largest movement for girls and young women in the U.K. With nearly 600,000 members, we must be doing something right! I invite you to delve into our website and if you are not already a member, but feel like joining us, what ever your age, we would love to see you, you will not be disappointed.
