Currently within Girlguiding Midlands courses are organised for Walking Scheme Level 2 training and assessment, along with introductory weekends for Level 3 of the scheme. The Training Opportunities - Walking Scheme book provides details of the Girlguiding UK Walking Scheme (Trading Services order number 6563). The Region walking team support the Association trainers and assessors group to run nationally organised Level 3 training and assessment courses along with courses for the Walking Group Leader Award and Mountain Leader Training and Award Qualifications. Also supported is The Sports Leaders UK Level 2 Award in Basic Expedition Leadership. For more information on any aspect of the Walking Scheme or training courses please contact us by email. |

31st October to 2nd November 2008 Walking Scheme Level 2 Training
and This weekend will offer the
opportunity to participate in an Approved Level 2 Walking Scheme Training
or Assessment course as defined in the Training Opportunities - Walking Scheme
book. However, if you would just like to get further log book experience in
the Dark Peak, Derbyshire, then you may join the Walking Weekend event taking
place at the same venue. |

hour Outdoor First Aid Course The next Girlguiding Midlands hosted course is scheduled to run in May 2011; however if you need to complete a course for your Walking Scheme qualification prior to this date then please register your interest by sending your name, unit, County and e-mail address to Region Walking Advisers by email, and if there are sufficient numbers an additional course prior to 2011 will be considered. Alternatively e-mail us for details of First Aid courses being run by other Countries and Regions. |
