Adult Support is just that! We are a team of 9 all with specific responsibilities for ensuring all adults in guiding get the help and assistance they need to carry out the good work every week.

Helen Smith has responsibility for the region trainers, ensuring they are supported and keep up to date.
Trainers have a Girlguiding UK qualification which they renew every three years. Trainers deliver a wide variety of sessions to our volunteer leaders.

Angela Brett and Jen Muggleston look after our Prospective Trainers. Angela and Jen work together to ensure all prospective trainers receive the support they need to complete their qualification. This includes organising sessions just for the prospective trainers and keeping in touch with their tutors.

Janet Kemp is the Region lead internal verifier. Janet’s principle role is ensuring the prospective trainers complete the qualification and that assessors are working well with the prospective trainer. Janet is the person who assessors need to contact with any queries. assessors@girlguiding-midlands.org.uk

Sue Deighton is Trainer Support Co-ordinator. Every trainer and prospective trainer should be a member of one of the Region’s Support Groups. These groups are invaluable for trainers and the whole or part of a group can often be found delivering sessions at County Weekend/County Days. Sue is working to ensure everyone has the opportunity to be part of a Support group
