Rainbows Are 21!

Nearly 3000 Rainbows from all over The Midlands Region gathered at Twinlakes in Leicestershire for their 21st Birthday party.

On arrival they were greeted by fairies who sprinkled them with magic dust to ensure that they would have a truly magical experience. The photos which can be seen here are proof that the magic dust worked!

Midlands Region Jailbreak 2008

THE ESCAPE!

8 teams of Senior Section members met and were released in Edinburgh on 26th July 2008 by Lesley Knighton (Midland Region Chief Commissioner) and Pat Manwick (Deputy Chief Commissioner Scotland).

PAROLE and WINNERS

The teams spent two weeks in northern europe completing a variety of challenges prior to being granted their "parole" in Tallinn, Estonia.

Midland Region members take part in the Tall Ships Race!

The vessel is the 'A' Class Lord Nelson. And it's the first 'A' Class all female crew. 8 or 10 of the female crew from the Jubilee Trust and about 30 girls and leaders are from Girlguiding UK

The members of Girlguiding Midlands on the The Lord Nelson are Bridget Halpin (Warwickshire) , Tamsin Lane (Birmingham), Susan Thompson-Rogers (Worcs), and Abigail Bubb (Warwickshire).
