What does the role of Assistant 18-30 Coordinator involve?
What do you hope to achieve as part of this role?
The Assistant 18-30 Coordinator, along with the 18-30 Coordinator, is all about working with county coordinators to develop the 18-30 Offer. This is a new initiative so it’s a really exciting opportunity to help shape something designed to help Guiders like me. The offer has been developed (and is still being developed) to help grow and retain Guiders aged 18-30. I can’t wait to see the different paths this journey will take us down. I’m looking forward to supporting County Coordinators and working together to create something new and exciting!
What other roles do you have in guiding?
I am a Brownie leader in Droitwich Division and I have recently taken on the Young Leaders coordinator. I am also the Droitwich Division International Advisor. I am currently part of the organising team for Worcestershire County International Camp, Pear ’21.

What is your favourite thing you have done, or your greatest achievement, as a member of Girlguiding?
I recently took part in the regional Fairy Tales and Scary Tales challenge, where we travelled across Europe taking part in various challenges. I led a county team and we had a brilliant time. We volunteered in an elderly hospice in Bratislava, met loads of Guides and Scouts from around Europe and visited seven countries in seven days. It was such a pleasure to lead such a wonderful team of girls!
