Congratulations to two Queen's Guide Award recipients from Girlguiding Midlands, Kimberley Clarke and Vanessa Johnson who were presented with their awards at the House of Commons on Saturday 10 March

Kimberley Clarke and Vanessa Johnson were presented with their Queen's Guide Award at an Award Ceremony in the Members Dining Room  at the House of Commons. They both received their awards from Chief Guide Amanda Medler.

It takes three years of dedication to complete this Girlguiding top award. Only a handful of Guiding Members of its 575,000 members achieve this award annually.

The Queen's Guide Award empowers young women aged 16 to 25 to broaden their horizons, raise the aspirations and develop vital leadership skills to help them improve their own lives and the lives of others. The girl-onloy challenge sets its participants a series of demanding tasks, including embarking on an ambitious four-day outdoor adventure, overseeing a ground-breaking community action project and dedicating a year to develop a new skill.
