‘Being a Queen’s Guide Award Adviser’
In 2020, I took on the role as Queen’s Guide Award Adviser for Worcestershire County.
The Queen’s Guide Award is the highest award in Girlguiding and is currently available for members aged 16-26. The award takes 3 years to complete and as a QGA adviser, I am here to support and encourage members to work towards the award.
I have hosted a number of presentations during the last 3 years – to make more members aware of the award, including a Pizza & Pyjama virtual event I hosted in 2021 with other advisers. It has been a tough few years, with Covid and other restrictions, but I am now hoping to reach as many 16–26-year-olds as I can, to let members know about how amazing the Queen’s Guide Award is.
I have offered to do presentations to Guide and Ranger units in Worcestershire– please let me know if you would like me to visit your unit too!
This award is such a prestigious and incredible award, it would be fabulous to sign more members up to achieve it too. Please contact me for more information, if you have any questions or if you’d like me to share my presentation with you.
