Ride & Seek

Are you ready to Ride and Seek?

Join us on an exciting adventure to Germany and Amsterdam. Ride and Seek is an exciting challenge event consisting of a virtual welcome, followed by a day at Phantasialand in Germany before groups make their way to Amsterdam to join us for a wide game across the city to earn points before coming together for a closing ceremony and picnic in the city. This event is for teams of Guides (aged 12+) and Rangers, young leaders with 2-3 adult leaders, adult volunteers, Trefoil Guild & Inspire.

County training day

Come and join us as we connect adult volunteers across the county from all divisions, districts and units.

Everyone is welcome to come and just socialise, but if you want to learn some new skills, we have organised a varied programme of sessions which are bookable when you register.

As usual there will be cakes and refreshments available, our Guiding Essentials Equipment Store will be in attendance and a lunchtime ‘marketplace’ featuring many of our county advisers.

Celebrate every member mandatory for LDP and useful for everyone This is mandatory session for leaders in training, its also very insightful for other volunteers no matter how long you have been in guiding

Effective communication –a mandatory session for LDP and if you are a qualified leader doing the leader module from LQ mod 1-3 . It’s useful for everyone to explore different ways of communication and its effectiveness

Money Matters – preparing for the 2027 changes, help with budgeting /claiming gift aid/best practices for fundraising and suggestions for where to claim grants

Supporting young leaders in your unit (YLDP) what is the YLDP and look at a leaders role in supporting young leaders to complete the young leader development programme.

Kitchenless cooking easy ideas for units meetings when you have no access to a kitchen

Risk assessments made easy – when do you need them and what to include

1st response – module 3

Your 1st response training is valid for three years. You’ll need to redo the full 6 hour training course and e-learning in order to make sure your training is up to date to keep all members safe. You will need to attend in-person and virtual sessions for 1st response and complete the 1st response e-learning.

This virtual Zoom training is for module 3 and will need to also complete module 1 and 2.
