We’ll be taking 40 members from across Girlguiding Midlands region and heading to Mexico where we’ll spend 7 nights at Our Cabana taking part in their adults only, A Taste of Mexico programme and enjoy a unique opportunity to immerse ourselves in the essence of this beautiful country, exploring ancient ruins steeped in history and savouring authentic cuisine bursting with flavours. Each moment will be a gateway to understanding and appreciating the diverse Mexican culture. We’’ll be able to hone our culinary skills with a private cooking class, connect with the locals in a community action activity and cultivate memorable friendships on this remarkable journey of discovery and connection.
Then we will head into Mexico City for 2/3 nights in this vibrant city, seeing the sights and getting involved in the local culture, music and of course the food!

Opportunity for adult leaders to visit Lorne, Girlguiding house in Northern Ireland and explore the local area and take part in variety of on and off site activities.

City Treasure Hunt
City treasure trail in small groups – Spy Mission to explore Medieval Coventry and discover some of the city’s history – the trail is approx. 2 miles and takes around 2 hours to complete. There is an option to explore other local venues e.g. Coventry Transport Museum (this would be at your own cost – adult ticket £16.50), Coventry Cathedral both old and new – no entrance fee but donation if desired. Meet with other leaders from around the Midlands region, come as a team or book on your own and be put into a team with other Girlguiding leaders. Stop on the route and enjoy lunch or a drink and a snack.
Arrival to begin the trail anytime between 10am and 12 noon. There is plenty of city centre parking or the option to arrive by train – you could visit the nearby Coventry Guide shop on Saturday morning.
Details of where to meet will be sent nearer the time. It would be useful for your team to have access to a mobile phone should you need to access a clue during the treasure hunt and you will need to be able to access the Treasure trails website to submit your answer however this can be done later at home if you wish.

Brownies Super Slumber
After last year’s brilliant Rainbow Super Slumber, where over 2,000 Rainbows and their leaders took part, we want to invite Brownies take part in their own challenge festival which can you do on your own, with your unit or even with your district, division or county. You decide where you’ll take part and there’ll be some brilliant challenges to do to earn one of our super badges! Hope you can join us!
Make a den, sleep under the stars – with your unit, your friends or your family! Our super slumber is designed for everyone to be involved in – whether you’re a seasoned Brownie sleepover-er or waiting to join the adventure! You can join with 1000s of others to join this event 17/18 May or take part on a different day that suits you better.
With movie themed ideas, musical suggestions and much much more – there’s ideas for everyone in our challenge pack.

Awards celebration
This special weekend will recognise some of our longest serving members, to acknowledge the service that they have given over many years and also those who are being presented with the Chief Commissioner Award 2025 recognising exceptional service at local level.
Invitations will be issued in early 2025.
Try, Inspire, Qualify
Try, Inspire, Qualify is a one stop shop for everything outdoors – try new things, be inspired yourself with ideas to try in your units and support your programme, have the chance to qualify in outdoor subjects such as the water safety module or gain experience/ find out information about outdoor qualifications. Join us for a weekend of skills and fun with friends outdoors! There is also the option to join us for the day. There will be fire lighting, wide games, escape rooms, pioneering and more to choose from so don’t miss out!
