Do you have a passion for supporting girls and young women from all backgrounds to have brilliant, memorable experiences in Girlguiding? Are you organised, strategic and motivated by working with others to make great things happen?
We’re looking for a girl experience lead volunteer to lead and shape our girl experience offer across Girlguiding Midlands.
In this role, you’ll lead and manage teams of adult volunteers to design and deliver high-quality, girl‑focused events that align with our region strategy. You’ll play a key part in creating safe, inspiring opportunities that help girls discover their full potential — from large-scale regional events to international programme opportunities.
What you’ll do
- Lead and support girl experience delivery teams, including event volunteer leads
- Oversee the planning and delivery of region‑wide, girl‑focused events
- Work collaboratively with region volunteers, staff and external partners
- Manage event risks, budgets and resources responsibly
- Champion the girl experience offer and support leaders across the region
- Keep up to date with programme developments and cascade learning to others
About you
You don’t need to have done this role before — we’ll support you with training and guidance. We’re looking for someone who:
- Is enthusiastic about motivating and inspiring girls and young women
- Enjoys leading and supporting other volunteers
- Is organised, reliable and confident managing multiple projects
- Communicates clearly and works well as part of a team
- Is happy to think strategically and solve problems creatively
You must be aged 18+ and willing to be (or become) an active member of Girlguiding Midlands. Some travel across the region is required, with expenses covered.
